Alicia Keys, Swizz Beatz Give Tour of San Diego Razor House – NBC 5 Dallas-Fort Worth

Alicia Keys and Swizz Beatz became some of San Diego’s most famous neighbors by purchasing the famous 11,000-square-foot La Jolla Razor House on the beach for a reported $ 20.8 million in 2019.

And the superstar couple finally gives us a look inside. The Grammy-winning singer and her husband, the music producer whose real name is Kaseem Dean, showed off their luxurious pad in an interview with Architectural Digest.

“Come on in the za, za, za,” says Dean when he invites a camera team to his home. Watch the 10-minute interview with Architectural Digest below or here.

The view from the Razor House cannot be topped (we can only imagine). Designed by architect Wallace E. Cunningham, the house sits on the cliffs of La Jolla with floor-to-ceiling windows that offer expansive views of the Pacific Ocean.

Dean calls the house one of Cunningham’s “best works”.

If you’ve ever looked up from Blacks Beach or hiked the nearby Ho Chi Minh Trail, you’ve seen the delicate glass house. Its name comes from its wafer-thin design and was supposedly the inspiration for Tony Stark’s abode on the cliffs in the “Iron Man” franchise.

“Children who love Iron Man say, ‘This is the Iron Man house! ‘Listen, not just kids … adults,’ Keys joked.

The house launched for $ 30 million in 2018. Take a look at the house before Keys and Dean remodeled it.
