SAN DIEGO (KUSI) – At the first annual Festival of Trees, 20 expertly decorated and donated artificial trees will be auctioned and delivered to the winners’ homes this Christmas season.

The event, which takes place at InsideOUT on Saturdays from 3pm to 7pm, will benefit Being Alive SD, a local nonprofit that provides essential HIV / AIDS and related services across San Diego County.

Bobby Gordon, Chair of the Festival of Trees 2021, met with Elizabeth Alvarez of KUSI on Good Morning San Diego to discuss the event.

A silent auction and travel raffle will also be held at the event at 1642 University Ave.

The event will serve as the premier holiday kick-off event for the LGBTQ + community.

San Diego Mayor Todd Gloria, Alderman Tem Stephen Whitburn, and Season One Drag Race All-Stars from RuPaul Winner Chad Michaels will all be in attendance.
