CHICAGO – The epic San Diego Comic-Con is returning to its personal roots this year – and bringing along some fabulous furry friends.
Tubi’s adult animated series “The Freak Brothers” will roll up at the historic comics and entertainment convention for an offsite experience fans (and anyone who accidentally fell asleep in the 1960s only to wake up in front of San Diego Bayfront Park in 2021) means) on each of the three days of the con. Based on the cult comic book classic by Gilbert Shelton, The Freak Brothers asks what could happen if four cannabis lovers get their hands on some really good stuff and go back to sleep for several decades only to wake up in what is now San Francisco. For more adventures by Freewheelin ‘Franklin (Woody Harrelson), Phineas (Pete Davidson), Fat Freddy (John Goodman) and Fat Freddy’s cat “Kitty” (Tiffany Haddish) head to Tubi, where the first three episodes are waiting for you.
