Tristan Thompson is charged by a woman who claims she is pregnant with his son. For those keeping up, this would be the third child for the NBA star, who shares 3-year-old daughter True Thompson with Khloe Kardashian and 4-year-old son Prince Jackson with ex-Jordan Craig.
According to court documents filed in Los Angeles and issued by E! News, Maralee Nichols is suing the NBA player for pregnancy and child expenses following an alleged sexual encounter on his 30th birthday in March. In her application for determination of the parental relationship, submitted in June, it also states that “the court can order the maintenance of the children and assign an income assignment without further notification to either party”.
Maralee, who previously lived in Houston and currently lives in Los Angeles, stated in her file that she is pregnant with a young boy and that Tristan is the father. She also noted that she will be born this month, claiming the athlete texted her to “not be involved” and offered her a lump sum. He did not comment on this.

In his own legal records, Tristan admits the two had sex in Texas on his birthday in March, about 37 weeks before Maralee’s supposedly scheduled due date and three months before E! The news confirmed that Khloe and Tristan – the subject of several previous fraud scandals – had split again.
The athlete requests a paternity test to determine if he is the father of Maralee’s unborn son. Additionally, Maralee and Tristan are also currently having a legal battle over where the case should be handled. Maralee wants to settle the matter in California, while Tristan argues it should be moved to Texas because she allegedly lived there when they had sex and conceived the baby.
In her June lawsuit, Maralee requested that Tristan pay her “reasonable costs of pregnancy and childbirth” such as fees for doctor visits, pregnancy tests, parenting classes, prenatal vitamins and baby clothes and diapers, and hospitalization costs. She said he had already paid for two doctor visits in April. She also wants the athlete to pay her legal fees. Maralee seeks full legal and physical custody of her son while she gives Tristan visitation rights.
In August, in response to Maralee’s June lawsuit, Tristan filed a statement in the Los Angeles court, as seen in screenshots from The Daily Mail. He noted on the file that Maralee told him she worked as a personal trainer while studying at the University of Houston.
“The only time I had sexual intercourse with [Maralee] 2021 was in Houston, Texas in March 2021, “the document says.” I specifically remember having intercourse with [her] in March because it was my birthday. In July, Tristan filed his own lawsuit against Maralee in a Houston court seeking paternity in Texas. He claims that he is “allegedly the father of an unborn child” and demands that genetic testing be ordered to determine paternity – only after the baby is born, in accordance with state law.
He also claims that Maralee lives “temporarily” in the Los Angeles area and owns “real estate” in Houston. He claims that California has no jurisdiction in parentage determination and “that all matters relating to parentage determination and order, if [he] is the father of the unborn child, is entertained in Harris County, Texas. “
Maralee stated in a response that neither of them live in Texas, she plans to give birth in California, and that Tristan already has two children whose mothers live in the state. She also said she believes he “thinks that shopping at the Forum in Texas will ultimately save him money on child support”.
As part of her file, Maralee included an earlier text Tristan allegedly sent her saying, “You know how I feel. My feelings haven’t changed at all [sic] ever be involved. By the way, if you think this baby will make you some money. It is completely wrong. You know I’ll be retiring after this season. Maralee and Tristan’s attorneys had no immediate response when they were contacted by E! News.
