SAN DIEGO (KUSI) – Port of San Diego Makers Arcade Holiday Fair returns for 5th year – December 10th & 11th – after a two-year hiatus on Broadway Pier. Sponsored by Port of San Diego, Humble Designs, and the Sierra Nevada, the popular annual shopping event will host more than 100 local manufacturers, plus a seasonal shopping experience with photo exhibits, gourmet food, live music, and more!

San Diego Made – co-founder of Kristin Dinnis, Sarah Anderson, Brittany Kaszas and Brook Dailey – has acquired Makers’ Bazaar and is now the proud owner of Makers Arcade.

Makers Arcade was originally founded by Jennifer Byard and Rebecca Chase in 2014. Chase ran the annual Christmas party for several years and gained a loyal following. She passed away earlier this year and it was important to her and her family that the event lived on.

“We are excited and grateful to be able to continue and build this great event,” said Dinnis. “This seemed like a fine opportunity to move forward and we are honored to be growing part of our business under the Maker’s Arcade name.

“We’re thrilled to be able to continue what Rebecca started and that there is a part of her that goes to Makers Arcade events in this city every year with the same spirit and special sauce that she brought with her “Events will bring happiness to this city,” added Dinnis.

The pier is adorned with fun Christmas decorations, which provide a very special shopping opportunity with a view of the water.
