SAN DIEGO (KUSI) – In this week’s edition of KUSI’s San Diego People, Brandon Stone spoke to NAACP San Diego Chapter President Francine Maxwell.

Stone and Maxwell discussed a variety of topics important to the African American community and the San Diego community at large.

Maxwell began describing the long history of the NAACP in San Diego before explaining how the assassination of George Floyd changed the public’s view of the race in the 21st century.

Then the two discussed the importance of helping black owned businesses in San Diego and the difficulties some black business owners face that you may not be aware of.
