People in San Diego, Chula Vista, Carlsbad shoulder some of the highest monthly bills

People who live in the San Diego, Carlsbad, and Chula Vista area spend 4.1 percent more on utilities and other monthly expenses than the average Californian, according to an online bill payment service.
DoxoInsights, a Seattle-based company, reports that residents of these cities pay an average of $ 2,668 a month for common household expenses like electricity, rent, mortgages, cell phones, and internet.

Those total costs devour almost 41 percent of the region’s average household income, which takes into account average household income and the 10 most frequently paid bills and utilities, according to Doxo data.
The San Diego area has the seventh highest monthly spending cost in the state and ranks 13th nationwide.
Data shows that households in the San Jose-Sunnyvale-Santa Clara area have the highest spending in California – they pay an average of $ 3,151 per month, 67 percent more than the national average of $ 1,889.
The San Francisco-Oakland-Berkeley region ranks second, with households paying $ 3,080 per month, about 35 percent of the median income and 63 percent more than the national average.
Los Angeles, Long Beach, and Anaheim residents pay around $ 2,750 each month, ranking sixth ahead of the cities of San Diego.
