Younger adults are more concerned than older adults, observes Dr. Joseph Casciani. During these pandemic days, everyone, if not always, has concerns about their health and wellbeing. Still, according to Casciani, older adults feel more comfortable because of their life experience and the wisdom of their years. They have accumulated life skills and instincts that will help them deal with stress.

Casciani is a psychologist who works for the successful aging of seniors. During his 40-year career in San Diego, he has worked helping his patients overcome setbacks and celebrate aging. Over time, he has seen the benefits of aging and has helped promote them.

Aging is inevitable. It is a development process that everyone hopes to go through.

Casciani, 72, insists that aging is not a disease. It doesn’t have to be a time of decline. Instead, he believes that aging is a time to open new doors.

“Years ago we saw aging as a dreary place,” recalls Casciani. “Now our future is positive. As long as we maintain a positive outlook. Seeing aging as an opportunity gives us a completely different perspective on aging. “

Our midlife, when we are in our 40s, 50s, and 60s, can be the best years of our lives. They are also an opportunity to prepare for the riches of our decades to come.

Casciani has therefore founded the “Living to 100 Club”. The club is an online resource for learning more about successful aging. The club’s goal is to change perception. To help individuals, families, and carers promote positive approaches to aging and living longer, healthier, happier lives.

Casciani recognizes that this is easier said than done. Casciani has enjoyed working with aging and older adults since starting out as a psychologist in the county in the 1970s.

He saw her physical and emotional challenges. Casciani, who lives in Bay Park, also realized that even if a person’s illness or chronic condition was not reversible through psychological evaluation and treatment, so was their attitude.

“For me, successful aging means overcoming the hurdles. Again and again we will encounter hurdles and setbacks. Even if we can’t live to be 100, we stay positive as we try. ”It really is Casciani’s motto and his professional passion.

He strives to free people from deep, dark emotional holes due to injury or illness. No matter how old someone is, Casciani insists that staying positive is the key to a successful journey through life.

Through its blogs and podcasts, all available on the Living to 100 Club website, Casciani curates information on aging, provides insights and advice, and offers visitors and subscribers plans to review for themselves. Instead of worrying about getting older, Casciani hopes people plan to enjoy it.
