A new YouTube series by Will Smith has the two-time Oscar nominee looking for the “Best Shape of My Life” – but as a trailer for the six-part series without a script that was released on Friday reveals, it’s about a lot more than its physical plan.

Smith has been on a journey of self-discovery for some time; he has his memoir “Will” dated November 9th and it appears that while researching his past he discovered a lot of doubt and cheating syndrome.

That comes out in the trailer, which begins as a journey to lose 20 pounds in 20 weeks.

“When I first started this show I thought I was in the best shape of my life physically,” Smith said on the video. “But mentally I was elsewhere. And in the end I discovered a lot of hidden things about myself.”

It turned out he had just as much, if not more, emotional weight to sustain. At some point he even throws in the towel and explains, “I’m done with ‘The Best Shape of My Life’.”

Perhaps the most shocking are scenes in which Smith sits at the table with family members, tearing himself apart and admitting, “That was the only time in my life that I ever thought about suicide.”

We don’t know what he’s referring to, but this is clearly not a “Fresh Prince” version of “The Biggest Loser”.

It could even be more inspiring. As Smith notes, “What you understood about Will Smith, the alien devastating larger-than-life movie star… is largely a construction. .. To hide the coward. “

But even if we don’t know Smith or the Smith who was hiding from us, we suspect there will be a return to top form for the actor before it’s all over.

“Best Shape of My Life” premieres on Smith’s official YouTube channel on November 8, and the episode will roll out over the next five days.
