Jennifer Lopez says yes again, but we’re not talking about the big wedding news that gossip lovers (and Bennifer 2.0 lovers in particular) want to hear.

Instead, the film and music star will exchange vows on the big screen together with co-star Owen Wilson in the upcoming rom-com “Marry Me”.

And after a short preview on TODAY Thursday morning, the first trailer has now been released.

The 3 1/2 minute clip reveals the setup for the feature film, in which Lopez can be seen as a very J.Lo-like entertainer named Kat Valdez.

But things don’t really go according to K.Val.

Although the character is going to marry her pop music partner Bastian (Maluma) live on stage as part of a major streaming event, she finds out just before stepping into the spotlight that he is having an affair with her assistant.

So what should an iconic performer do when their highly hyped marriage moment is over before she has barely a chance to shed a tear? Marry the first guy she sees at her concert holding up a “Marry me” sign.

Apparently.

It might sound far-fetched, as some fake “WTF” social media posts flashing across the screen suggest, but it makes for a delightful rom-com get-together when single father Charlie Gilbert (Wilson) suddenly makes her Husband becomes.

While both parties seem aware of the fact that an impulsive wedding to a stranger may not lead to a happy ending, the film seems to depend on keeping the gig before they let the marriage fizzle out – or maybe burn on.

Because if rom-coms taught hopeless romantics anything, it is that a couple are more likely to fall in love than to pretend they’re in love. But potential viewers will have to wait to see if this trope is true this time around.

“Marry Me” was originally due to be released earlier this year, but like so many other films, it has been pushed back due to the pandemic. Now it should come to the cinemas on Valentine’s Day 2022.

But the trailer isn’t the only teaser fans can enjoy by then.

Lopez, who plans to release a soundtrack for the film next year, debuted a track of it, “On My Way,” during her Global Citizen Live performance in September and officially released the song on Thursday.
