HUB Football, the premier stage for NFL free agents, will host its next CAMP on Wednesday December 15th at Southwestern College in Chula Vista

The CAMP presented by HUB Football, the pre-eminent audition phase for free agents seeking coveted spots in the NFL and other professional cadres, will begin on Wednesday, December 15 at Southwestern College in Chula Vista with a free agent workout camp in the area of Return to San Diego.

Media are welcome from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

58 players, an ongoing series of one-day training sessions, took part in the final CAMP on October 20th at Dignity Health Sports Park in Carson. Scouts from the NFL and CFL were present.
In addition to the fieldwork, which will take place on December 15th, HUB Football will also host a scouting camp for aspiring professional scouts. Led by Russ Lands, Director of US Scouting for the Montreal Alouettes of the CFL, there will be a training seminar where attendees will learn about the ins and outs of the scouting world and receive instructions on how to write scouting reports. The participants of the scout camp also have the opportunity to take part in the 15th training at the CAMP and to prove their skills as scouts.

HUB Football has become the go-to place for free agent players. The majority of CAMP attendees are players who have recently spent time with NFL teams while others are former college players looking to have their first chance at creating an NFL, CFL, or other professional roster.

The CAMP is not a combo workout, but is designed to mimic workouts that are routinely performed in NFL facilities across the country. The players carry out individual work with position coaches, while they also compete in individual and team exercises. Since its inception in 2019, more than half of the teams in the NFL have visited CAMP to personally explore free agents, while nearly every CFL team has been represented. In addition, films from each CAMP will be broadcast to more than 800 NFL and CFL talent assessors, as well as scouting professionals from other leagues.

The CAMP is unique in that it limits its roster to 50-60 players and ensures that only the best of the best are invited to participate. Players pay a small registration fee to enter, and they have the option to purchase a copy of their Movie of the Day, which in turn will be distributed to each NFL and CFL team. The players also pay for their own travel expenses, but the results speak for themselves. Since HUB Football launched The CAMP in 2019, a total of 456 players have teamed up and 72 have signed professional contracts. And a number of those 72 players have signed on to more than one team, resulting in a net total of 104 contracts signed by HUB Football alums.
