Kim Kardashian is undoubtedly a nursing legend. And now she has the award to prove it.
The Keeping Up With the Kardashians star received the Fashion Icon Award at the People’s Choice Awards 2021 on Tuesday, December 7th.
SKIMS founder made a dramatic appearance in Balenciaga dressed to accept the prestigious award presented by former Fashion Icon Award winner Tracee Ellis Ross.
“I am honestly so humble to be here,” said Kardashian. “I mean, I started out as a closet organizer and stylist. The fact that I win a Fashion Icon Award is like a dilemma.”
Kardashian also took the opportunity to thank her ex Ye (formerly Kanye West) for his flair for style and influence.
“Thanks to Kanye for really introducing me to the fashion world,” she praised the “Donda” rapper, from whom she filed for divorce in February after six years of marriage.
She noted that there was a time when designers didn’t want to work with her, joking that big names like Ricardo Tisci and Olivier Rousteing “probably” [were] I talked into it by getting a call from Kanye. ”

“And I fell in love with fashion,” she continued, “and I’m so inspired by so many people. But even here it is like a dream that I wake up and wear these great clothes and just try new things. You know, take a risk. “
She concluded, “I am so humble, thank you very much.”
The KKW Beauty founder made sure that her jaw dropped with her unique look.
Similar to her lively Met Gala ensemble in 2021, Kardashian wore a head-to-toe black outfit with thick black sunglasses, which she paired with a matching catsuit under a mini dress, tights and pointy heels.
The star was spotted alone at the event. However, her family members showed their support in the crowd, including Kris Jenner and Khloe Kardashian.

Over the years, Kardashian has swooned fans time and again with her daring and dazzling fashion. Whether she’s pushing the boundaries on the red carpet or running errands in full glamor, she doesn’t miss a beat in the style department.
No wonder she launched her own clothing line in 2018: SKIMS.
“I needed that,” she said to E! News in 2019. “I’ve been obsessed with traditional shapewear for about 15 years, but I kept cutting it up and designing my own styles because every brand I found just didn’t really want them, they just didn’t have any of those things that I really needed. “
Her influence on the fashion industry is just one of many reasons why she received the Fashion Icon Award.
