SAN DIEGO (KUSI) – On Good Evening San Diego, Logan Byrnes of KUSI spoke to Captain Manny Del Toro, Southeastern Division of the San Diego Police Department, about their upcoming Take Back the Park Holiday Event.
Willie Henderson Park had problems with gang activity. The children’s and youth sports teams in the region are afraid to use the sports facilities in the park. This fun event aims to bring families back to the park and enjoy the community good.
On Saturday, December 11th, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., the Willie Henderson Sports Complex will host the Holiday in the Park Community Event and toy raffle.
Events like a toy giveaway, climbing walls, laser tag, free Barrio Dogg hot dogs, plus music and entertainment make this an event not to be missed.
