To prevent preventable diseases, you can arrange travel advice on topics such as:
- Food and water precautions
- Malaria and other diseases transmitted by insect bites
- Altitude sickness
- Vaccinations (Some may be required to enter certain countries. Others are strongly recommended.)
- Medicines to prevent malaria, diarrhea and other diseases
You can also schedule a pre-travel exam and follow-up exams if you return home sick. If you need special care, we can refer you to one of our infectious diseases specialists.
We offer pediatric travel medicine for travelers with children.
Vaccines for travelers
Vaccines can protect you from diseases that can be spread outside of the United States, including:
- cholera
- Hepatitis A
- Japanese encephalitis
- Meningococcal meningitis
- rabies
- Tetanus / Diphtheria / Pertussis
- typhus
- Yellow fever
Note: Some vaccinations require multiple injections and take weeks to be fully effective. Please arrange your travel medical appointment before your trip.
