Police said Tuesday they are investigating sexual assault allegations against R&B artist Trey Songz at a hotel on the Las Vegas Strip.
In a statement, Las Vegas police said sex crimes detectives had received a complaint about an incident Sunday involving singer and actor Tremaine Aldon Neverson. Sunday was his 37th birthday.
Neverson is cooperating with the investigation and no arrests have been made, said Officer Misael Parra, a Las Vegas police spokesman. Parra refused to give the hotel a name.
A Neverson representative did not immediately respond to messages.
Neverson has had several legal issues in the past. He was arrested at Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City, Missouri, in January, but was not filed after charges of dealing with police officers over complaints that he did not follow coronavirus protocols and other rules at the AFC championship game, to have quarreled.
As Songz, he’s a three-time Grammy-nominated singer. He made his debut in 2005 with the album “I Gotta Make It” and last year reached his third No. 1 on the Billboard top R&B album charts with “Back Home”. His other two chart top albums are “Trigga” and “Tremaine The Album”.
He has also appeared in films such as Texas Chainshaw 3D, Baggage Claim and starred in Blood Brother in 2018.
