SAN DIEGO (KGTV) – US News and World Report has confirmed what many San Diegan residents already know. America’s Finest City is the most livable place in the United States
According to the ranking published in late October, San Diego ranks first on the list thanks to its restaurants, parks, and natural beauty.
The report lists destinations like the San Diego Zoo, Sunset Cliffs, and Old Town as reasons for the city’s top spot.

Second on the list is San Francisco, followed by Portland, Oregon, Seattle, Nashville, Charleston, South Carolina, and Los Angeles.
In compiling the list, US News and World Report took into account factors such as access to parks and outdoor activities, cultural attractions, restaurants, professional sports teams, shopping, nightlife, concerts, and the popularity of cities as destinations.
The cities have also been ranked against the 100 most populous metropolitan areas in the country.
