A Year with Frog and Toad is the San Diego Junior Theater’s first show in its 74th season.
A year with a frog and a toad is the touching story of two unusual friends, the happy frog and the stingy toad. Join them on a musical journey through four colorful seasons together with their friends Snail, Turtle and the Birds and experience many adventures, from descent on a runaway sled in winter to a picnic to a quiet moment in summer. Along the way, Frog and Toad discover that the differences that make them unique also make their friendship so special.
Based on the popular books by Arnold Lobel, Frog and Toad has an optimistic score by Robert Reale and clever lyrics by Willie Reale. Directed by Junior Theater Artistic Director Desha Crownover, music directing from New York Transplant Kira Blaskovich, and choreography by JT alum Emily Shackelford, this 25-strong cast and moving story will delight children of all ages.
A year with a frog and toad runs from October 29th to November 14th with an ASL-interpreted performance on Saturday, November 13th at 2 p.m.
