How Paris Hilton Feels About That Car Photo With Britney Spears and Lindsay Lohan 15 Years Later – NBC 7 San Diego

Can you believe it’s been 15 years since Paris Hilton was photographed in a car with Britney Spears and Lindsay Lohan, which forever cemented a moment in pop culture history that defined the early years?
Neither does Hilton. On her December 3rd episode of her podcast This Is Paris, the 40-year-old reality star was impressed by the amount of time that has passed since that fateful night and said, “It just knocks me out.”
The historic picture, taken in 2006 outside the Beverly Hills Hotel, showed the trio crammed into the front seat of the Parisian car. At the time, Hilton and Lohan were in a complicated phase of friendship – so a snapshot of the duo alongside the Princess of Pop undoubtedly made headlines. Even Hilton called it “iconic” this week.
“I can’t believe it’s been 15 years since this #iconic photo was taken and we were dubbed the #HolyTrinity of the 2000s,” she wrote on Instagram.
Paris Hilton over the years
In retrospect, Paris marveled at how much the trio had grown up, addressing both Lindsay’s recent engagement announcement to Bader Shammas and the end of Britney’s 13-year conservatory career.
“I saw Lindsay get engaged and I know we had our differences in the past, but I just wanted to congratulate her,” said the “Paris In Love” star. “I’m really excited for her and it just makes me so happy to see her.”
She continued, “Fifteen years later, and so much has happened in the past two weeks. I got married, Britney got her freedom back and got engaged. Lindsay just got engaged. I love to see how different our lives are now and how much we “have grown up.”
During the podcast, Hilton also reflected on the drama behind the infamous car photo and how “the media caused most of these problems”.
“The 2000s was about that. They loved playing women against each other. That was their thing,” she explained. “Any single tabloid would say, ‘So and so this person hates’, ‘feud’, which only creates more drama than there was.”
“The internet has changed so much – the whole landscape. But it was so vicious during that time, ”said Hilton. “I’ve been dealing with it for a long time.”
She is no longer the same person to Hilton as she was more than a decade ago. In fact, the DJ has a more mature perspective in life these days.
“Things have happened, but I’m an adult now,” she said. “I just know that a lot of it was just immature. Yes, there have been people who have hurt me, but I feel like I am married and an adult now and this next phase in my life is beginning. I don’t want any of this negative energy. “
“So I forgive everyone who hurt me in life,” she added. “I just think it’s good to let go of all of this.”
