The Sky Deck will launch in downtown Del Mar Highlands next month
The Sky Deck, an ambitious project that has been in the works for years, opens in the Carmel Valley this June. On two levels and more than 20,000 square meters, the new food collective offers 13 different and different food and drink concepts, including a cocktail bar, a brewery terrace and restaurants that offer everything from ramen and pizza to Thai and Mexican cuisine.

All-day brunch spot lands on Park Boulevard
Café on Park, which closed last March after 25 years of operation on Park Boulevard in Uptown San Diego, has been replaced with a new daytime restaurant called Breakfast & Bubbles. With playful backdrops designed to appeal to Instagrammers, the restaurant offers a menu by chef Marco Provino (Allegro, Rusticucina) with classic brunch plates that go well with champagne.

The Lab Collaborative is coming to Oceanside
The Lab Collaborative, which opens later this year at Pierside North, will be a full-service American-style bistro restaurant, while also hosting a list of local guest chefs and bartenders who also create their own menus. The owners hope to use the Oceanside restaurant as a test kitchen to outsource several other concepts.
