SAN DIEGO–(BUSINESS WIRE) – Wells Fargo today announced a grant to the Hispanic Chamber of E-Commerce that will launch Tu Futuro (Your Future), a financial empowerment program and platform aimed at providing financial fundamentals to teens, adults and small business owners to help resolve financial issues affecting the Latino communities in Southern California, San Diego, El Centro, and Yuma. Tu Futuro is a HISCEC (Hispanic Chamber of Commerce E-Commerce) program, sponsored by Wells Fargo, with Univision as its media partner.

Tu Futuro will provide the resources and tools to help Latinos manage their finances, provide resources to help them find their way to home, and help bridge the digital divide through access to digital resources and tools to reduce. In addition, it will build a sustainable Latino community through initiatives that help strengthen local climate resilience through environmental justice strategies.

As part of Univision Contigo’s Corporate Social Responsibility Initiative (With You), Univision Los Angeles will produce six 30-minute specials titled Contigo: Tu Futuro Financiero (With You: Your Financial Future) that will focus on personal finance, small business, housing and focus on environmental sustainability. The specials will be hosted by Liliana Garcia, presenter of POSiBLE Radio on KTNQ 1020AM, an hour-long radio show designed to help small business owners grow their businesses. The specials will air once a month on Univision Los Angeles from October 23 to March 2022.

“One of the major social problems Latinos face in Southern California is the myriad of obstacles preventing them from building a secure financial future in the Spanish Chamber of Commerce. “The Tu Futuro program will provide access to valuable resources in Spanish to help Latinos build a better future for themselves.”

The Tu Futuro program is based on the four main pillars of Well Fargo: Small Business, Financial Education, Home Ownership and Sustainability and provides access to valuable resources in Spanish.

“At Wells Fargo, we recently published The Budding Potential of Hispanic Americans for the US Economy, which showed an increase in demand from small and medium-sized Latin American owned business owners and an increase in home purchases in the community,” said Patty Juarez Head of Various Segments for Wells Fargo Commercial Banking. “By working with Univision and Hispanic E-Commerce on the Tu Futuro program, we will provide the Latino community with the resources they need to thrive and keep the economy moving.”
