Del Mar goes pink for San Diego Susan G. Komen 3-Day Walk
[ad_1]
The Del Mar Village Association (DMVA) gathers a crowd of well-wishers to cheer on more than 2,000 expected walkers who return on Friday 19th. Diego Susan G. Komen 3-Day returns after a year off.
This cheering station is an annual community support that welcomes hikers with pink balloons and ribbons. Torrey Pines High School cheerleaders, Del Mar Lifeguards, local business owners and residents line the streets to cheer attendees on their journey south to San Diego.
Anyone interested in this fun and inspiring morning is encouraged to dress in pink and arrive at Del Mar Village just south of 15th Street on Camino Del Mar (Highway 101) between 7:30 am and 9:00 am
Given the ongoing COVID-19 precautions, the organizers of Susan G. Komen 3-Day® shared the following community support guidelines:
- All viewers should wear face covering if they are unable to socially distance themselves from everyone else
- Spectators and supporters should spread out along the sidewalk / track as much as possible
- When serving food or drinks, please ensure that all items are individually packed
