If you’re looking for someone to drive pests out of your business, San Diego County has a number of perfect candidates.

Several “work cats” from the County’s Department of Animal Services, which are cats that are undersocialized, are now available for adoption (and rental). The county said the department recently welcomed several cats who are shy but ready to be adopted.

However, don’t let their shy demeanor fool you. When these cats are hit by a pest, they let in their instincts and are ready to pounce.

With this in mind, the working cats would thrive in stores such as stores, warehouses, and factories, as well as other establishments such as churches and barns. In exchange for food, water and shelter, these cats are willing to act as “organic pest control”, according to the district.

These zealous employees are pretty meowing and ready for adoption with no waiver of their dues. They have already been vaccinated and microchipped, the district said.
